The Ohio State Association of the National Association of Letter Carriers has informed my office that they are supporting the boycott of Staples.  

The Letter read:

"The Postal Service was misguided in 2005-2006 when it tried to outsource letter carrier work and it is equally misguided now.  The low road of outsourcing never works.  Postal management rejected the APWU's efforts to staff the Staples Postal outlets with highly skilled career employees who serve this country so well every day.  The USPS should either renegotiate the terms of its Staples pilot test with the APWU or scrap it altogether.  

Customers have the right to post offices staffed by workers who are accountable, highly trained and uniformed, whether it's at a post office or a Staples store.  This deal could jeopardize customers' mail service as well as local post offices.

The Ohio State Association-National Association of Letter Carriers, by Unanimous vote, has endorsed the Staples boycott.  The 12,000+ active and retired letter carriers of Ohio are ready to support the OPWU.  Should any actions in Ohio become necessary please call upon us".
