If part one was not bad enough, consider these facts, comments and positions.
1. In 2012 a Brennan Center poll revealed that nearly 70% of Americans believe Super PAC spending will lead to corruption.
2. Nearly half of the $300 million in outside spending in 2010 was spent by only 10 groups!
3. Outside groups spent over $1 billion in 2012.
4. The 2016 election is predicted to be the most expensive in American history - potentially DOUBLING the amount spent in 2012.
5. American Crossroads, backed by Karl Rove, spent over $90 million in the 2012 election cycle.
6. Of the top ten "richest" Super PACS in 2012, 9 were backing Republicans.
7. In the 2012 elections alone, right-wing Super PACS and dark-money groups like Karl Rove's American Crossroads, and Crossroads GPS, the Koch Brothers' Americans for Prosperity, and Mitt Romney's Restore Our Future spent almost $500 million.
8. More than 8 in 10 Americans in a poll by the Associated Press and the National Constitution Center support limits on the amount of money given to groups that are trying to influence U.S. elections.
9. Of the $1.28 billion in outside spending reported to the FEC in the 2012 election cycle, $299 million was "dark money" that cannot be traced back to an original source.
10. According to a study of 467 congressional races in 2012, the candidate with more money won the race 91% of the time.
